Well, the site has been up for a whole week now. I guess I too should have a blog

It's been an interesting week. I've had people support me, and others bash me. Oh well you cant make everyone happy. I've said before, its a big internet, and no one is holding a gun to your head and saying " you can only visit this site". I'm not trying to replace anyone. I want to link together the coastal fishing communities. So when I decide to ask about fishing in Venice, LA, I don't have to go dig up another site on the internet. I just go to that section.

I think the site has made pretty good progress in a short time. I am still learning what all I can do with this software, just as you are. I'm working on a kick-ass logo for you guys. I'm working on a color scheme. I'm working on a lot of things that I want to bring to the site in the near future. I just added some blog categories to the site, so I hope to see you use them.

The site is doing pretty good in the Pensacola area, which is to be expected. But, I need your help to spread the word. I know some of you guys have relatives in other parts of FL,MS,LA, and TX. Like I've said, I don't want to build a PFF. We have PFF, which is a great site. I want the Pensacola section of this site to thrive of course, but I want the other sections to thrive as well. Ultimately, the success or failure will depend on users actually using it. I remember when was in the military, we used to go from bar to bar. We would stick our head in the door, and if it was dead in there, we would keep on going to the next one. Internet forums are kind of the same way.

I feel like Kevin Costner from "Field of Dreams". Some mysterious voice came from the corn field and said "If you build it, they will come".
