Pat I am glad you clarified about the flat bed. Tim has one that we carry farm equipment on BUT it does have fenders so I don't think it will work for you. Do you know the guy that owns Blue Angel Automotive? He has loaned me one in the past to carry a set of marine diesel engines on.
Gene, no unfortunately I don't know that guy.
I talked to the owner of the Ambulance body today after I made that post. I've been trying to get him to call me for several days, but they have been in the middle of that blizzard that hit the NE, and had 31" of snow last night. He owns a snow removal business on the side, so you can imagine how busy they have been.
Anyway, he said it is sitting on pallets in the parking lot and there is a company across the street that has some heavy equipment, such as a big fork lift and a crane, so using a trailer with sides may not be out of the question. Getting it unloaded at my house may be fun, but if it was on a privately owned trailer where I had some leeway as far as time goes, I'm sure I could figure something out.
I don't really want to make that drive so I'm still looking into shipping it, but if it comes down to it, and Cliff's trailer is an option I will certainly keep that in mind.
Pat I know a Few People But Most Of them are just used for short Trips To The Deer Camps!! and The Ones My Boss,s Have Like Gene Said Have No Fenders But I'll Keep Looking to see what some of the Other Guys at work Have and some of the Reg that own Farm Tractors and Stuff like That!! I'll call you when Or If I find One !! DL
As Long as your Having fun Fishing,, Then Catching a Fish Is Just One Hell Of a Great Bonus!! Dwayne
If I can get it shipped, I would only need to move it locally.

Let me know if I can help.
There are there or four ways to do this, but I keep running into blank walls, so I've got some more details to work out first.
I'll let you know...

He is a retired Firefighter with back problems also, and has had two strokes, along with cardiac problems.
So, right now I'm focusing on having it shipped, and trying to find a facility with some kind of lift or big forklift where it can be unloaded and maybe even sit for a couple of days, until I can make arrangements to get it home from there.
Thanks for your suggestions though...
