Oh yeah...My lumens bigger than yours! Sorry I should have resisted but I just couldn't. I've actually been considering getting a few new lights, so this thread has been informative and helpful!

LOL I do have to admit I am Lumen Snob, My lumens are brighter than your Lumens and I will keep buying as they get larger. Already stocking batteries and looking at the 4200-6000mah batteries too.

Damn, already ordered it after reading your post I sent a e-mail to see what cree it was and to cancel if warm white. Although I'm not holding my breath as it was my stupid ass that ordered it thinking the one cree was the bright one. Just have to wait and see...
Well I got and have been using the trustfire 1600 and must say it works just fine and I think it's the white light led. Although it's hard to tell without both lights being together. As for the batteries and charger the batteries are the blue 2500 mah ones and the charger works great so far. The big plus was the light arrived in three days from Ca. not three weeks from China. The light has 5 settings on it 3 light intensities an SOS and a strobe i'm pleased with it.

Thanks SeaLark. Darn I wish they carried a full line and did not lump in the 2400mah batts into the deal. Sure wish I could find a good US store that carries a full line, batteries and free shipping like the China stores do with great price points. These guys buy from China and then sell to us for more.
That is a good light you got, does it hold both batteries or 1 at a time? you will like the single cree led with the deep well. The 3000-5200mah batteries will give you much longer run times!

Frank, I just put both batteries in it but it does come apart and has a small section that comes out about the size of a battery so I guess it will take one batt. Nope just tried it and only two batteries of this size. For what I use it for it works fine if these batts fail I will buy the bigger ones.
i failed to mention, if a flashlight uses a cree xm-l led, the max output of that led is 1000 lumens, therefore a light that has one of these, despite being advertised as 1600 lumens really has a max of 1000 lumens, and a flashlight that says it has 3 xm-l led's, has a max of 3000 lumens. So you can see that these chinese though they make some very nice flashlights, are exaggerating their lumens.
What about these lights that have started to advertise that they have a 7W CREE ??
Am still waiting for the HID type technology to advance far enough for the price to drop into the "affordable" range. What are the drawbacks to this(HID) ?? Lens heat ?? If so what happens if rain hits the lens ?? How suseptable are they to the G forces ?? --- SAWMAN
