I will be really lovin' this new area/setup that we will have. It will be more private. We will have the end of a road. NO TRAFFIC ! We put up a "gate" with the approval of the member just to the north of us so we "gated" his area also.
This club has tons of hogs and when we get fully set up with at least 6 shooting positions, watching 3 separate areas with a planted plot AND bait,we will surely invite our friends over for a hunt. We will have 3 shooting towers,2 small shooting houses,1 and 2 man ladder stands, and ground blinds. The ground blinds will be the tent type that are brushed in. We will also have a good supply of old lumber that we will eventually build ground blinds with.
The older that one gets to be,seems that boredom trys to set in. This new area should help relieve this. There is lots of stuff to do. Every time I enter the area I say to myself,"I'd like to see a stand over there,or it would be great to put a ladder stand watching that crossing". This new area just might be what I need to keep me "young". ---SAWMAN

Yeah, I have already made 3 trips loading and unloading stuff and have 1 or 2 more to go..I am beat up, sore, cut up, stung and a new twisted ankle, so far ...my excitement is waning in the pain...LOL
But really it is a great area and lots to do, great to have year round hunting and friends to be with...

It simply amazes me the number of "real" hunters that will be putting all there gear away for the year. This is "MY" time of year. I own the woods and waters. No competition,no seeing hunter orange every time you take a look around.
I absolutely love it when I walk into a Waffle House dressed in camo and the other guys ask me what I am up to today. I tell them huntin'. They respond with,"huntin' what, the season is over". I almost hate to tell them,"hogs and yotes". --- SAWMAN
my 4th trip, only 1 more to go, how can I get that much stuff out in only 1 year, good grief!
Yep Sawman, I prefer this over deer season, little competition, lots of area to hunt, game everywhere and warmer weather. Who would not like to hunt year round?? This is great and we were out even in the 104 heat index last year, best thing in the summer is being able to hunt freely in the cool of the night!
