Here are the teams for the 2011-2012 GCFC Deer Contest. Please post your entries here on this thread and please ONLY post entries. Do not comment on the entries in this thread, Make another thread or post your pics again in another thread. That makes it a LOT easier for me to keep track of the entries and not have to weed through conversations in this thread. It would also be in the teams best interest to contact your teammates or make a thread asking them to post so you know that they will hold their end of the team up. Good luck to EVERYONE and have a SAFE and FUN season!!
SCORING :
5 points for a deer. Buck or Doe.
1 additional point will be added for every point on a rack of 1 inch or more.
Participant score will consist of 1 deer. If you are allowed to shoot more than 1 deer you may upgrade your score by submitting the new deer, this will cancel out your previous deer.
There will also be a 5 point BONUS for the team with the most does shot. This doesn't mean that one member can shoot 20 does and get the bonus points. If everyone on the team shoots one doe then you are guaranteed the 5 points,so multiple teams may get the bonus.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTERING A DEER:
To submit an entry a participant must include in the 09-10 Forum Deer Contest - ENTRY thread...
- your screen name/team name
- if applicable, the number of tines that are longer than 1 inch (main beam counts),
- not mandatory but if possible include your team name to help me out.
- a photo of himself/herself with the deer (DOES INCLUDED..NO PIC, NO POINTS) Photo should show at least the entire front half of the deer or more - this is to avoid any possible accusations concerning people entering mounts. Also this pic has to be OF THE DEER, pics of only the skull plate or hide will not be accepted
- photo(s) that all scorable tines can be seen in. If 1 inch tine is questionable supply a photo with a measurement against the tine for verification.
- In this thread DO NOT post comments about others entries as it will get to be a hassle to pick through all of the comments to get to the entries.
- I know some of us hunt by ourselves and can not take a pic of ourselves sometimes, so in that situation this is what will be accepted. You can take a picture of a something with the date written on it, lay it on the deer and take the pic. The date MUST be able to be read in the pic, if not, doesn't count...So write BIG and use a marker. Paper plates, plain sheets of paper, and newspaper's have been used in the past.
** If you have issues with posting your photos I would be happy to help you out or post them for you, just send me a PM.
