I made this gig for Tim. The handle he wanted to use was quite a bit bigger in diameter than what my gigs are made for, so I had to machine a hunk of aluminum down to fit the pole and gig. Fastened together with1/4 inch stainless bolts.
Of course this flounder gig is made from 316L Stainless Steel as are all the gigs I make. 316L is considered "marine grade" because of higher chromium content, which is what gives it the higher corrosion resistance compared to other grades.
Dunno if I followed up with you chris but my three prongs are amazing! Just can't wait to start sticking the flatties again! Tim you will love the three prong set up I bought two from chopped last year. Nothing but good things to say about them!
