Big V today...

Going in for the snip snip this morning. Looks like I'll be surfing the net for the next couple days. I'll just be glued to the couch, which isn't really my style. Care to share some advice? Have you had it? How did it go? Any pointers?

never had it done....but my brother in-law did, and got to feeling better, and overdid it....they swelled up like cow jewels.....so do very little..... till they say.... go for it ....better to be safe then sorry, and I am sure that would be very sorry and painful

Had it done a couple years ago. Was quicker than I thought and nothing to it. Drove myself there, drove myself home. Tip, listen to the doc and stay on the couch for a couple days. I did and had no problems. You will feel just fine but too much movement and the pain will come. I heard the horror stories from the ones that didn't listen. Just remember a bag of frozen peas is you friend.

it's real suprising how much you can enjoy and be happy for something as simple as a big ole bag of frozen peas, they work really good!
I've heard horror stories but mine went great and I was good to go after about 4 days

2 years ago had mine. Greatest decision i made was 1. having kids 2. getting fixed. Its gonna be sore for a bit but its well worth it in the end. If you have a lifting job take plenty of time off work DO NOT pick things up you dont realize where all that strain goes, yep right to the ole boys. Don't be suprised if you "feel it" for a while, for the first six months or so sometimes i would sit down wrong or to fast, OUCH!

My wonderful, thoughtful, wife made me a nice Di*k cake for the occasion i will have to look and see if i can find a picture for ya'll to laugh at.

Congrats you wont regret it in the end

Take the wheelchair ride to the car afterward trust me! i had mine done at Baptist and getting from the top to the bottom where the car was parked was not fun. Started off ok by the time i got to the bottom floor i could hardly walk to the car. Who's doing it for ya? I had Dr. Barenstein sp. He was awsome let me watch him do the whole thing, its purty cool if u don't have a weak stomach! Good Luck buddy maybe i can talk the wife into making you one of those cakes.

Frozen bag of peas!!! Amazing how much a form fit can help. Even when you think all is well after a day and a half, give it the full three days before you "bounce around".

May be a little late but pick a doc that has done thousands and then follow their directions to the T.

Ice and the TV Remote are your two best friends for a couple days.....all you need to do is talk to someone that did'nt listen if ya need more convincing.........
