Great performance by Madonna? Y'all must have been watching something different than me, i thought she was going to fall of the bleachers more than once or just plain trip over her feet. You could not hear a word she said for all the senthisors and background noise, marching bands and other thugs.
I thought the no balls guy bouncing on the tight wire was the highlight of the whole show.
Yeah, you could tell she was a little off kilter but at least she wore more clothes than she did during the whole of the 1980's....
The tight wire guy was pretty amazing, and so were the guys in the white suits with the musical notes- it was like they were made of rubber!
Personally, I would like to see the NFL and NBC sue her for every cent she has. Then use the money from the suit to make sure she never works in show biz again. She is nothing but trash anyway.
I have to say, me at 47 and madonna at 53, she looked damned great. kind of like tina turner when she did thunderdome. however, madona promised no non family issues. she can't be held accountable for a punk trying to be a punk. and punks will be punks, white, black, purple orange or whatever color. My hat is off to her for doing a non offensive show and at the same time not looking like she is two hundred years old

Unless this picture was posted I would have not known about it, never saw it and I watched the halftime show. I never heard of M.I.A. before, so I wikipedia her and found this little tidbit:
M.I.A. supports a number of charities, both publicly and privately... Following her performance at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards afterparty, she donated her $100,000 performance fee to building more schools in the country...Winning the 2008 Official Soundclash Championships (iPod Battle) with her "M.I.A. and Friends" team, 20% of the following year's championship ticket sales were donated to her Liberian school building projects. In 2009, she supported the "Mercy Mission to Vanni" aid ship, destined to send civilian aid from Britain to Vanni and controversially blocked from reaching its destination. The country's navy announced that it would fire on any ship that entered its waters, and M.I.A. was singled out on the Sri Lankan army's official website after the singer announced her support for the campaign. In 2011, following her performance at the Roskilde Festival, she donated $250,000 from the Roskilde Festival Charity Society to help bring justice to Tamil victims of war crimes and genocide and to aid advocacy and ensure legal rights for refugees and witnesses.
I don't condone her flipping the bird during a "family" presentation, it was tacky, but she may have done it so someone would dig deeper and find out about her activism...or maybe someone pissed her off?
