Dave and I closed on our new home Friday. Our realtor was absolutely awesome and she took our picture on the front porch to commemorate the occasion:
Sunday we took what our vehicles could hold and as our first act of celebration, walked the perimeter of our new chunk of land. The wind through the trees was absolutely wonderful, and we could hear a mess of bluebirds out in the distance. We went over the house with our imaginations on fire with where we wanted to put everything. There may be an easy solution- Dave discovered we can probably fit all we own into the attic.
I had to get some pictures of our master bath because I still can't believe it's ours.
Here's Dave in our shower:

Went out on the back porch and just looked at all that land.....
And Dave's new Man Caves.....
And checked out the view of our driveway and across the street.
Spent my first night in the house last night to wait for utilities in the morning (Dave went back to Daphne to get some work done). I just had to go outside after dark and take it in.... the breeze, the sound of nothing but wind through trees, the sky unfiltered by city lights. And I drank a glass of nice clean fresh well water to go along with it.
This is our dream come true, something that Dave and I both have wanted and worked at for a very long time and we finally made it a reality together. Thanks for letting me share this with all of you and very special thank-you's to all of the awesome people here who sent us the good mojo to make it happen. As soon as we can get the house into shape for company, let the housewarming begin!!!
That beautiful home belongs to 2 very beautiful people. Glad all your dreams came true. And in just a few weeks, you guys will be able to finally sit back and really take it all in. Congrats again to you both!

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.." -Samuel Adams
The house is beautiful, and it has one thing that I swear my next one will have....an attic tall enough to walk around in! It seems like such a small thing (literally) until you have to go up there and do any work, and then you realize how important it really is.
