    Coyotes Vs Wolves

As a guide in Maine I actively guided for, and hunted coyotes. I also hunted wolves in central Quebec. I learned quickly that a yote will kill ONLY to eat. They will surely bring down a deer or even a leg locked moose if they are in a group(they don't "pack"). BUT...unlike wolves, they will continue to feed on that animal until it is completely gone.

I have spent many hours in the woods at night hunting coyotes. Calling or sitting over a deer or moose kill knowing that the group of yotes would return at dark to finish the animal. Armed with my Benelli M1 Super 90 and a full tube of 3" BB or #4buck.

I used to ask the tree/bunny huggers......"if your snowmobile was broken down in the woods at night, would you rather have coyotes in the area or wolves" ??

Understanding that wolves are only "doing their thing", people need to understand what the reintroduction of these animals to some of the northern states will do. They need to arm themselves with the facts then vote accordingly. They also need to contact their representatives given that they are not hunters and for the most part are strictly "desk huggers".

The people that are directly effected by having packs of wolves in their area need to be aware of what the final consequences will be. --- SAWMAN
