    Big Old Gator

Killed up here in Selma, makes for 3 right at or over 14 feet in the last
three years around here. This one is 14 foot and 725 pounds. Kind of makes ya'
want to look around before you go skiing. John Alan, (my youngest) will skin
this monster today for the taxidermist. I think he's in for a long day. Link to

Mr. Gene, the picture doesn't even come close to doing these things justice. My oldest son Robert skinned the the one up here last year that set the alabama record and the head on that joker was over 3 feet long. We had more gator tail, jaw muscle and tenderoin in the freezer than we could eat. Deep fried the jaw muscle was the best meat on the gator IMO. Took him a solid 8 hours to skin the rascal and couldn't hardly use his hands afterwards they were so sore and stiff.
