Help me decide on new rod/reel bottom fishing combo for my wife..

did good with the big shark I had on, till I saw it was a shark then begged for some one to cut the line(80lb braid), then gave it to Cliff........I was soooo sore from fishing the pier the day before.......catching, netting and gaffing fish for 12 hours then going out with Recess the next day, and that was the first fish...I just took off the 80lb and put 50lb braid on it....with the bimini and not sure what to tie with it,? on the leader side.

Either get a loop to loop leader ( 100% connection ) or and albright with a 3 turn unilock, which is what I use.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions! I was talking to my brother in-law in Pensacola last night and he is going to the Outcast sale and will call me while he is there and will let me know what they have and pick up a reel at a good price for me.
