Smoked oysters on the half shell

Ok guys...got a question. I just got a used smoker from my BIL. I'm going to pick up a half a bag of oysters on friday. Figured out what I'm doing Saturday? You bet....I'm look'in to smoke some oysters on the half shell. So...do I open them and then put them on to smoke, or do I just put them on a tray and put them in there and they'll open when ready, then leave em smoke for a bit? Had a few ways to do it on google, but I trust a real person here more than the internet. Let's here it!

Never smoked them myself but found this on line. Might as well try it and adjust to your taste from there.

Save a tree, slurp them out of the shell raw, and a touch of lemon juice.

    +1. Yummy.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and you'll have their shoes.
